The Light in all Sorrow

The Light in all Sorrow

In labyrinths unlit, locked doors, stolen keys windowless, skyless, Hope lies ‘neath our knees

for when life’s in doubt as anguish reigns free we’ve nowhere to turn without bended knee;

dark halls then shine bright weak feet their strength find faint souls to renew with love sweet, divine

Though pain will reprise hard days, not to flee tears still freely fall’n through time we shall see

hurt fast subsiding and virtue imbued our wounds His to mend as we then conclude

that sorrow so sharp so thorough, so deep was gratefully had, sweet mem’ries to keep
